This culture negatively affects both males and females. However, here I focus on the impact upon the latter as I discuss Sarah Palin, media portrayals of her, and how she's a role model for females world wide. Although, the way men are supposed to view females as nothing but sex objects is an example of how negatively affected males are by this culture because they are unable to see women as anything but objects of sexual conquest.

Morality, virtue, honor, intelligence, hard work, modesty, humility, sincerity, honesty, compassion, dignity and respect. for oneself and others, these are the core attributes of every decent, proper and good individual. However, these characteristics have been under attack for decades by a culture that is consistently and incessintly bashing messages into people, especially children of ever younger ages, to get over their so-called hang ups, loosen up, try drugs, be promiscuous, partake in debauchery. Put more simply, to discard with any and all of the aformentioned attributes. This, of course, has played itself out through the debasement, depreciation, dehumanization, objectification, perversion, and undoing of oneself and others resulting in things like the acceptability, glorification and promotion of sexual depravity, especially of pornography and prostitution, rising rates of sexually transmitted diseases and so forth. For girls, this culture attempts, quite successfully, to program them to see themselves as just brainless, naive sex objects, to do what it takes to be sexually appealing, be scantily clad, wear hooker clothes, and be as sluts and prostitutes.

Palin represents the core attributes of every decent, proper and good individual and of accomplishments based on merit, which is contrary to what is expected of females today, thereby giving a new generation of females someone to look up to and know they don't have to be throw away sex toys or feces. That they too can be intelligent, well educated, and successful in high profile, demanding careers without sacrificing their virtues, self respect, dignity, morality and bodies. Palin, however, has been under attack by a steady stream of people not because she's incapable of fulfilling her duties as a vice president but because she is a woman that represents a threat to the vulgarity, crudeness, crassness, classlessness of today's hypersexual, drug obsessed, sexist culture. Who is attacking her? There are two main factions, and these are by no means mutually exclusive. On the one side is the mass immoral culture's dominant economic players, including the film and television, music and sex industries, the mass media in general, so-called safe sex businesses and organizations, abortionists, and many more. On the other are her political and or anti-conservative ideological opponents, particularly liberals.

Just a quick note on her supporters. It's sad and disturbing that even many of them have bought into this culture's sexualized image of women and are thus sexualizing Palin's candidancy. This is evident through their slogans, which include, Barbies for War, McCain and Palin: a Hero and a Hottie, Hoosiers for the hooters, Our VP is hotter than yours, the Hottest governor from the coldest state, vice-president I'd like to f word, and many more. Although such slogans do not attack her candidancy, abilities, or personally, they do Palin no favors and further propagate the idea that women can only be successful if they are sexy. Palin is a proven leader in spite of her looks not because of them, and should be treated with the same respect as would a man. Rather than these slogans, supporters should offer ones celebrating her accomplishments, like, for example, her professionalism, abilities, being a political pioneer, so forth.

Palin's detractors are far worse. To view many of these attacks, google "sexism and sarah paylin" and also visit Palin Sexism Watch (I am not affiliated with said blog in any way) and see just how vulgar some of these are. There are 7 main ways in which Palin is attacked; these are not necessarily exclusive, often being used in combination by attackers.

There are the degrading, lewd products, including such things as the Palin barbies dressed like prostitutes sold online. I can just imagine parents buying these for their children. What a wonderful message they are sending. Well, Bratz dolls are a hot commodity and what do they represent but sexualized children. You also have tasteless and bawdy t-shirts. I won't go into detail about them but I am sure many people are wearing these, thinking it makes them smart and cute. Well it doesn't. Recent news reports have said that actual pornography is being made with a Palin look alike.

Ridiculing the way she speaks is another way's she's attacked; such as Stephanie Miller's poking fun at her so-called "folksy" speak. Although this is simply the way people from where Palin comes speak. Would these liberals be mocking Obama if he spoke street or ebonics? No, and neither should they. It is a non-issue.

There are the over-blown, over-done satires and parodies. Particularly notable are those lame Saturday Night Live skits with Tina Fey as Palin. SNL is a liberal show and it is therefore not surprising it is anti-Palin. In some cases, these skits are attempts to smear Palin's image, such as the skit suggesting the Palin family practices incest. In another skit where they parody the Biden-Palin debate, the guy playing Biden says something to the effect that the American public does not want "that," referring to Palin and that "I (Biden) am better than that (Palin)." SNL is a show whose recent political satires have been almost exclusively based on mocking Palin; though, as is usual, especially for "comedy" shows, they are unable to tackle the real issues in this campaign or tell us why exactly Palin is bad or Biden, who is known for his gaffes (more on this later), is better. In a sense, there is an over- reaction to Palin's mistakes while there is minimal to no reaction to the mistakes of Obama and Biden. This is especially troubling since Biden, being the seasoned politician that he is, should be called out for his errors more so than someone like Palin.

There is also the endless stream of derogatory, degrading and dehumanizing innuendoes, sex jokes and toilet humor. Take, for example, ubiquitous liberal talk show host Stephanie Miller having a McCain impersonator call Palin a "trophy wife" and talk about the desireability of her buttocks. Miller has even referred to Palin as McCain's affirmative action choice. Not only is this a baseless accusation, but even if she was, it's quite ironic that a liberal would chastize McCain for it since liberals are the ones who are always clamoring for affirmative in the first place.

Another example is Diptesh Soni, at The Daily Free Press. In an article called "Sarah Palin's my lil momma," Soni describes Palin as a hot grandmother, a sexy librian and suggests the reason Palin's successful is because she embraces femininity "with open legs." Is this what they are teaching in journalism classes these days? Is this what passes as credible journalism? As appropriate material for a credible paper? Academic standards and journalistic integrity certainly have cheapened and degraded.

In another instance, Michael Seitzman at the Huffington Post writes that all Palin offers is her looks and that is why she was chosen, and screams "I want to have sex with her...while my wife reads aloud from the Constitution." Very classy. Imagine his children, if he has any, reading about their father's sexual fantasies and desires to cheat on their mother, even if it is just a "joke."

A fifth way is through supposedly serious analysis of Palin's candidancy but which are filled with baseless accusations and jokes of the aformentioned nature. Saying Palin was selected because of her looks and or because she is a woman is a popular way to do this. For instance, a September 29, 2008 article in The Nation by JoAnn Wypijewski states that Palin was selected solely for her sexual appeal to men and makes the unfounded charge that McCain sexually fantasizes about Palin.

A September 10, 2008 Cintra Wilson article, in Salon, similarly declares Palin's an over-glamorized, stepford wife, a stupid bimbo who does not know she's being played and used by men, even by her own husband. Wilson goes on to say Palin "tacitly promises a roll backward into old-fashioned sexual roles" and thus electing someone like Palin would result in "women being downgraded to second-class, three-holed chattel." Just to point out, Palin has broken all these stereotypes; she is intelligent and independent, often going against her own political party, and a successful governor while also being a wife and mother.

We, further, have the apparently sophisticated discourses that are just illegitimate attempts to undermine Palin's abilities and accomplishments. Questioning her abilities to be a mother and fulfill her duties is a common means by which this is done. Yet, no male candidate's abilities to be both a father and public official has ever been questioned. Nobody questioned whether Joe Biden, in 1972, could take care of his two critically injured sons and be an effective senator after his wife and daughter were killed in a car crash. Do any of these doubters bother asking women who have been in Palin's shoes and succeeded about the latter's chances for success? Of course not. Well, ask conservative political activist Phyllis Stewart Schlafly, who is a living example that this can be done by a woman. Schlafly has run for congress, earned a law degree, editted a monthly newsletter, authored 21 books, founded and has been president of both the Eagle Forum and the Eagle Forum Education and Legal Defense Fund, and regularly spoken at conservative rallies - all while raising SIX children.

Another way to try undermine Palin's credibility and abilities is through hypocrisy. For instance, playing up Palin's lack of experience to be vice president while playing down or ignoring Obama's even though he's running for the more important top office. Another example is over-reporting, over-analyzing, over-emphasizing or over-reacting to her supposed gaffes while under-reporting, under-scrutinizing those of her opponents, although they have committed plenty. As I mentioned, Joe Biden makes many gaffes; so many in fact that he has been sired "gaffe a minute Joe" by Newsday. An example is after he was chosen as Obama's running mate saying, in Nashua, New Hampshire during a town hall meeting, that Hillary Clinton would probably have been a more qualified pick for vice president. Biden also called an Obama sponsored advertisement ridiculing John McCain for supposedly being technologically illiterate "terrible." In another incident Biden told Chuck Graham, a wheel-chair bound senator from Missouri, to stand up so people can see him. Biden's mistakes, however, get a free pass from the liberal media while attacking Palin non-stop for her errors.

Agree with Palin or not, such attacks are unwarranted and have nothing to do with the pertinent issues in this election and her abilities to deal with them. These attacks are simply ad hominems Their point is to put people down, degrade them, devalue their accomplishments without tackling the real issues. Such comments should be discarded for what they are: illogical and pointless. However, in this society where most people are programmed drones of an immoral mass culture, such attacks are smart, witty, credible, they have an important point to make and are, therefore, taken into serious consideration by the dumbed down public.

Most of these attacks are just attempts to remake Sarah Palin, a woman of intelligence, virtue, grace and honor, into a mere demeaned, debased, dehumanized, brainless sex object with an invented loose sexuality, her accomplishments and achievements devalued and ignored, her stance on issues becoming a non issue. In other words, these haters, these sexists are trying to make Palin a sexual side show, dragging her image to the depths of depravity and degradation that is expected of females these days; that is, to be a slut or rag everyone uses and is finally discarded and forgotten. The fact that you have women chiming in and doing the same is exemplary of just how programmed females have become to expect nothing of themselves but be seen and used as nothing but disposeable sex items. To those women that may actually know better but still attack her in this way, especially liberals, like Stephanie Miller, Barbara Walters, and Joy Behar, or are standing by with silence suggesting tacit approval of such attacks, like the National Organization of Women and others - SHAME ON YOU! WAKE UP! GROW UP! Disagree with her if you must but you are allowing your partisanship to get in the way of recognizing the significance of Palin's candidancy to all women, something that the we conservatives, people whom are constantly accused of sexism, have recognized and praised.

Palin is a role model for females because she is honorable, modest, moral, decent, intelligent and successful; she has smashed the proverbial glass ceiling and torn down stereotypes. Palin does not succumb to the vulgar, dehumanzing, degrading bimbo image advertised to and adopted by so many females today, of dressing and being brainless girls of loose virtues, getting breast implants and other plastic surgery, wearing hooker clothes, being nothing but paper plates to be used and thrown away because they think they have to in order to be validated, worthwhile, succeed, get men, so forth. Palin presents herself like a female with self respect, dignity and morality would, with modesty, maturity and professionalism. She has shown that women do not have to be slutty to get attention or advance in a respectable career; she is a woman that is accepted, succeeds or fails based on her abilities not looks or promiscuity.

Palin represents a counter culture revolution, against the demeaning, cheapening sexism that was born out of the 1960s sexual revolution, which ironically was supposed to free women from sexist roles and stereotypes. She is reclaiming the self respect that people like Jason Evert and Wendy Shalit have rightly said has been lost for so long. Palin epitomizes a new era of feminism and female empowerment based on wholesome conservative, christian values, and, as Laura Ingraham says "there is no bigger threat to the elites in this country than a woman who lives her conservative convictions." Ultimately, the criticisms of Palin are unfounded and guided by, on the one hand, a mass immoral culture that sees itself threatened by what Palin is and represents, which is a role model encouraging young girls to see themselves with respect, as humans worthy of respect and accomplishments based on merit not on looks or promiscuity, thus potentially destroying not only the power this culture has over women's minds and bodies but also uproot a large portion of the economic foundation upon which its major players depend; namely, a steady stream of readily exploitable and discardable women. On the other hand, by partisanship that prevents even the brightest of women from seeing the importance of Palin's candidancy. It's quite a shame. Well, until next time... God Bless one and all....
